When September ends...

Last day of September y'all

My fascination/soon becoming an obsession of clouds got heightened today. I took a series of pictures while driving around Northridge trying to showcase the clouds as much as I could. The clouds that are forming nowadays keep reminding me of the clouds I marveled at while I was in DC last summer.  The clouds are poofy, pure white, softer than cotton balls type clouds. But only do they remind me of DC, I keep envisioning Disney's baby Hercules to be laughing away on one of them. Hahah...perfect.

 

 

 

 We raised corn in our backyard this summer. I was SUPER fascinated because 1) I thought the dirt in my backyard was in no condition to make corn grow 2) I didn't know the process of how the corn stock grew 3) we grew PURPLE corn. Unfortunately, I don't think any of my family tasted the corn we grew, so here are the dried out products. I'm planning on growing them next year, if I'm still in the valley (I hope not!); if not, my dad will grow them.

Some realizations and goals:
I will be more motivated and productive than I was all summer. 
I will be the only one out of my friends still stuck in the Valley.
I will have one friend in NY, DC, OC, France, India, and Italy for the next year. SHIT!

Good Drained

Today was SUPER eventful. I haven't been this tired in quite a while.

I got to hang out with Seong-Ah for the last time in a very long time. I realized this was probably the last time I'm going to physically see her in 2010. :( I'm going to miss our hang outs, eating with you, drinking coffee with you at cute cafes in Hollywood/LA. I hope you have the time of your life in HK and in India! I expect to see your blog(s) updated! 

We went to the $3.99 store in Westwood.. haha such a fun store. This picture brought me back to the 80s... who wears overalls?! :)

I know this is really bad.. I've recently been taking pictures of things while I'm driving -_-. I had to capture this image of downtown LA driving on highway 2 from La Cresenta to Irvine! I'm trying to limit my bad habit right now. After driving for 2 hours during LA rush hour, I finally made it.

Had dinner with my Puente kiddos, super last minute reunion. So nice seeing them now as 3RD YEARS! 

Last but not least, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DARLING JESS!
I'm so so so happy I got to see these ladies! 

It was a great way to end the night! <3

After a total of at least 5.5 hours of driving, I finally come home and KO. Fin

Casual Day

Flowers are just an added effect. My mom brought home a pretty flower arrangement and decided to make her own edited version getting rid of the extra "fluff". But by far today, seeing this USPS advertisement show up in the mail was the most eventful part of my day. Haha...

When I saw this in the mail, I just thought, Oh man.. at least the postal service is attempting to get creative by advertising with pop-up ordering forms.

I realized that my pictures basically depict the "highlights" to whatever day, and most of the pictures, if not all are about food. I swear I don't mean to do it on purpose, I'm just a foodie.

Autumn!

Labor day weekend has passed and there is now a warm wind blowing through Porter Ranch. This can only mean one thing - fall is here! I LOVE fall. Fall is by far my favorite season, but once I get sick of the 50 degree "cold" weather in Southern California, I anticipate seeing spring dearly. The weather hasn't been too bad lately, I suppose an even number of cold/gloomy and scorching hot days.

Thanks 22. I've done it, reached 22 years! Happy Birthday. Yay!

I'm beginning to start my year long photo project. I have decided to capture at least one photo each day, every day for the next year, documenting my 22nd year of life. The objective of taking photos is simple - capture the moment. However, when people think about the concept of taking pictures, it's to only remember certain "memorable" moments in life, not necessarily capturing what we do with our everyday lifestyle. My goal is to remember the random moments in my life, we shall see where this takes me. :)
