Stank Eye 0_o...

I haven't been able to update my daily pictures for the past few days because I took a mini-road trip with some friends to SAN FRANCISCO! The trip was planned super last minute, but I think my main objective was to spend some good quality time with friends I don't necessarily get to see now every week. I loved going back to San Francisco, the last time I was there was 2 years ago with the same people Eric, John, and Andy, but this trip also included some more fabulous friends, Jo, Jeff, Derek, Mitchell, and Karen :)

After arriving in SF at 3:30am and sleeping till 10am, it was a nice surprise for Jeff and Andy to cook us all breakfast. Thanks!
 YAY MUNI!

LaughOutLoud Funny

I had the opportunity to hang out with some of the best people I know, Mesa Court RAs 2008-2009! I was so happy to be reunited some of my former team members and friends, such a refreshing feeling - being able to reconnect with many of the RAs who had already graduated and seeing where they are now.

We all finally got the chance to ask Walter how he ended up proposing to his now fiance.  Personally, I found the story to be inspirational, but then again it was hilarious because Boggy was his "stand-in".  Great times everyone!

Nothing seemed to have changed too drastically.  Oh man I love these people.  They are "aMESAing"!  I can't believe it has been 7 months since we have departed from being a RA team.  Crazy how time flies.

L-O-V-E.

Thank goodness we have long weekends :)

I hope that everyone had an amazing three day weekend.  I always do wish that we had one more day... or better yet one more week!  This desire/wishing always happens to me, and I always suggest that the UC quarter system start an earlier fall quarter and have longer winter and spring breaks.  Wouldn't this be fantastic?!  I feel like students would appreciate going back to school more.

So, focusing on the positives of this week...
Jo and I baked and frosted delicious chocolate (with a hint of coffee) cupcakes for some of our beloved friends at UCI.  They had all been lovebombed...<3!

lovebombed!

This week was actually filled with many ups and downs for me all which were pretty personal and hit close to home.  I usually don't come off as being a very religious person, but I do believe that there is a God and a higher being who watches over people.  I love the concept of praying, and usually enjoy the time I spend in peace while it is just me thinking and sending my prayers to my loved ones.  I send my best wishes to my family and friends who are handling the challenges that life creates, and want to let them know that I am here right besides them.

obsessed with...

I am definitely enjoying watching the 2010 Vancouver winter Olympics.  I seriously spent hours this weekend observing the various technical skills these athletes have and what they bring to the table after years of training.  I have been rooting for South Korea and the United States of course, this is a given.  I think it's funny how I prioritize which country to support; the U.S. comes first for most categories except for speed skating, I definitely vie for Korea wining medals in that sport.  I WANT TO GO TO THE OLYMPICS and see the real action live!

Again, thank goodness for this three day weekend.
Back in Porter Ranch to relax and chill with the FAMBAM.

"Friends must have eaten salt together."
-Aristotle

What he meant is there's a sense that people have lived a significant part of their life together. They've sat down and shared meals and the ups and downs of life.  You really have to have mulled over things with them to become really good friends and there's only so many people you can do that with.  You can have friends because of what you do together or enjoy something together like football or shopping, but they're not as profound friends as those who you love for themselves because of something in their character. And it doesn't matter what you're doing with them, even sitting alone in a room.
